Reservoir Report

The subject of the reservoir and its state crops up in this blog periodically. When we were riding out there in the early spring, I was whining about how low it was. Amid the good rainy season of this summer, I was publishing photos of flowers and watching the water rise. Yesterday, I drove out to check on the reservoir close up.

The Reservoir

Tuesday evening La Mexicana and I loaded the dog in the truck. The three of us went out to sit on the bank of the reservoir and watch the sunset.

Evening Run Up to the High Ground

Earlier this evening we biked up a dirt trail to high ground overlooking the presa and enjoyed some views that I did not know existed.

To our right toward the south. The Los Frailes development in the distance.

In front of us to the west. The Presa and environs.

To the northwest.

To our right and toward the north was another ridge line.

Behind us and to the east was the city of San Miguel.

Sacagawea pointing out the way.
